Taking of the Cassock at the La Reja Seminary – 2023
On August 15, 2023, on the feast of the Assumption of Our Lady, the taking of the cassock ceremony was held for seminarians of the first year (spirituality year).
On this occasion, the seminary had the joy of hosting Fr. Bernard de Lacoste, Rector of the St. Pius X Seminary in Ecône, Switzerland. Fr. de Lacoste arrived at the seminary a few weeks ago to participate in a session of canonical studies and to get to know the seminary.
During the 10:00am solemn Mass, which he celebrated, seven seminarians received the cassock: five Mexicans, one Chilean, and one Brazilian.
Several families of seminarians were present and had the joy of accompanying their son in this first ceremony which prepares them for clerical life.
